Privacy Policy

The short version

UnscramblePilot is a free word game utility. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details. The letters you type are used to run the search and are not stored against your identity.

Information we process

• Search input. Letters, patterns and filters you submit are sent to our server so results can be calculated, then discarded. We may keep aggregate counts (for example, how many searches ran in a day) with no link to you.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard request logs: IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
• Messages you send. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries to remember interface preferences. Our advertising and analytics partners may also set cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the categories involved and how to control them.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting traffic measurement to understand which tools are used and where pages are slow. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to build advertising profiles by us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data relating to you, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Data retention and transfers

Request logs are kept for a short operational period and then rotated out. Our hosting and advertising providers may process data in countries other than yours, under the safeguards those providers publish.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
